Hi, I’m Veronica!
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about supporting people in their journey to strengthen and enliven their relationships, develop and honor an authentic connection with themselves, and discard old beliefs and patterns through healing trauma.
I care about this work based on my own personal experience with shedding layers of shame, people-pleasing tendencies, and an ingrained sense of inadequacy. Through this process, I continue to discover my authentic Self, which allows me space to build trust in who I am, separate from the trauma of my past and pressures of the future.
All humans desire to feel connected, accepted, and seen for who we truly are while also feeling safe to transform into new versions of ourselves. Through my approach and training, I hope to offer just that to those I work with.
INCLUSIVE
I practice from a social-justice, feminist, trauma-informed, and systemic lens. This means that every part of you, especially your experiences with oppression, culture, and survival, are acknowledged. In our sessions, my goal is to honor each person's own vision for their life. Through my training and specialization, I can offer a helpful guide towards the destinations clients choose for themselves that provide the most meaning and resiliency in the long-term. By focusing on both the relationship with self and with others, I assist individuals and couples in rejuvenating pieces of their life that once felt stagnant, bleak, dark, or hopeless.
AUTHENTIC
My style as a therapist is genuine and personable, direct and warm, and consistent and grounding. By remaining a stable resource, I provide support for you to feel safe to be your own authentic self. I also intend to serve as a mirror - to help clients see the patterns invisible to them through identifying and examining these interactions with care and curiosity. In individual work, this can look like exploring your early experiences that informed your attachment style and connecting these patterns to the way you show up or abandon yourself today. I also utilize EMDR as an integrative way to move through pain and trauma. In couples/relationship therapy, we bring awareness to the co-created cycles these individual narratives and experiences create. From there, we are given a framework on how to unravel and reconstruct the relational story into something intentional and fulfilling.
I’m honored to serve the collective community of Colorado in showing up in the world, in relationships, and for themselves vulnerably and intentionally. I would love to connect with you in this next step toward healing.
